From the Principal’s Pen

Bobbi Jayne Burdett

We are happy to have you all in our N.P.E.S. family this year.  It has been an awesome start!  Our faculty places the highest priority on education and safety.  We strive to implement best practices, integrating social and academic learning in every aspect of the school day. We have spent time teaching and reinforcing expectations, routines, and our 5 school rules across these crucial first days.  We believe that students can best focus on their most important job of learning if expectations are clear and they feel safe.  We pledge to do our best with your babies this year.

Please make sure you check your child's binder every night.

A homework letter sent home on Mondays will have the assignments for each night.

Please make sure to read and study with your child as well.

If you have any forms or owe workbook fees please get that in as soon as possible.

Thank you and we look forward to a GREAT year!

3rd Grade –

Third graders are learning how to be responsible by being ready for class with correct supplies and books. We’re also giving 100% EFFORT on everything we do to show “we came to school to LEARN.”

Our students have been counting money and making change from $5. Please work with your child on getting change back from $5.

We are practicing our fluency every night so we can become better readers, and we are filling buckets every day with kind words and actions. Encourage bucket filling everywhere you go!

4th Grade –

Welcome Back!  4th grade is on the MOVE!

In math students are working on adding

In Language Arts, students are working on subjects and predicates. Practice writing sentences at home. Make sure to read ORF and AR books!

Parents:  check FLIP binders every night.
