ELA News – Miss Brown – Elisabeth.Brown@

Skill Work: Vocabulary test on Friday!  We are working on a new opinion essay in class.  We read two articles about cats and dogs.  Then, everyone chose which makes a better pet, a cat or a dog (based on the articles).   They will take the information from the articles to write a rough draft.  Next week, we will work on editing, revising, and then writing a final draft.  We are working on speeding up the time it takes us to write an essay.

Next week, due to Halloween on Friday (and everyone being very excited!), we will take our vocabulary test on Thursday the 30th.  In order to stay on track, we must do a test every week, so please be prepared NEXT Thursday (the 30th) for the regular vocabulary test.

S.S./Science News – Mrs. Wilkerson – Cecelia.Wilkerson@

Science: We have begun light.   Please send in a can for "Sound" next.  (A larger size like coffee, juice, or 16 oz. canned goods would be best.)
