Time Off Request – Exempt Employees OnlyGeneral InformationThis Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is designed to explain how to utilize the Payroll HelpDesk Time Off Request – Exempt Employees Only form. As the name describes, this SOP and the utilization of the electronic form only applies to salaried (exempt) employees. All hourly (non-exempt) employees should continue to submit their time off requests as they normally would.If you have any questions, concerns, or issues using this form, please contact the SBM Payroll Department via email at payroll@ or the Payroll Hotline at 916-565-6066.Policy/GuidelineIn order to complete the Time Off Request – Exempt Employees Only form, follow the below steps:Log into the SBM HelpDesk at: the Submit a Request option in the upper right-hand corner.Choose the Template drop down and select Payroll > Time Off Request – Exempt Employees plete the following fields within the form:Employee ID: Enter your SBM Employee ID.Project Code/BU: Enter your Business Unit.TOR1 Request Type: Select your Time Off Request type from the drop-down list.TOR1 Begin Date: Enter the beginning date of your time off request.TOR1 End Date: Enter the end date of our time off request.TOR1 Requested Hours: Enter the total number of hours requested for the applicable time off request period.Once completed, review your information. If all information is accurate, select the Submit button on the bottom of the form.Once submitted, the ticket will be routed to your supervisor for approval within the HelpDesk system.Important NotesEach ticket can only contain time off within a single week (Monday to Friday). Any additionally time off request(s) in a separate week must be submitted as a separate ticket.If you have any questions regarding any of your time off balances, please contact your supervisor/manager.Please follow up with your manager if you would like to inquire about the status of your time off request.Please contact the payroll department if you would like to cancel your time off request.All planned time off requests should be submitted in advance. The amount of advance notification and any other documentation that may be required should be discussed with your supervisor/manager.Frequently Asked QuestionsI submitted a Time Off Request, where can I locate the current status of my TOR?You may ask your supervisor for the status of your request. You may also view the status of your request by accessing the SBM HelpDesk and selecting the View Your Service History option.center6096000My employee is going or currently on a leave of absence. Should I use this system to record their LOA?No, you should continue to coordinate with the Human Resources department regarding any leave of absences for your employees.If my vacation is for two consecutive weeks, should I complete two separate Time Off Requests?Yes, in order to properly document and process your time off request and balances, each ticket can only contain time off within a single week (Monday to Friday). Any additionally time off request(s) in a separate week must be submitted as a separate ticket.Can I submit a ticket on behalf of my employee?No, the employee who is taking time off must complete this form. Their supervisor will then be notified and have the opportunity to make a decision on the request. ................
