Human Nature Essay: Are humans, by nature, good or bad?Rough Draft Due: *FINAL DRAFT DUE: For centuries, philosophers have debated the question of human nature. Are humans born evil? Are they born good? Are they born good and corrupted by society? What do you think? Are humans essentially good or bad? The answer to this question greatly influences your own bias towards how you view history and the future.Over the past week, we have been mulling this over as a class. Now, think more closely about how you and your friends act. Look at how humans have behaved and acted throughout history. Listen to the wisdom of those who have lived before us (e.g. Plato, Aristotle, Machiavelli, etc.). Finally, write a two page single spaced essay that reflects your thoughts and ideas.Your essay must be persuasive – you are trying to persuade the reader that your beliefs are logical and ultimately right. To strengthen your argument you must cite other thinkers and authors whose writings help to support your ideas. Yes, this will include some research on your part!
