Read both sides of the citation you were given. Payment can be made by check or money order, made payable to: 82nd District Court in U.S. Funds only. If your driver's license is suspended due to nonpayment of a ticket, you must send a cashier's check or money order. A personal check will not be accepted.

You have 14 days to pay your citation in full, otherwise you will be subject to a $25 default (late) fee. It is very important to keep the court up-to-date with your correct mailing address and telephone number at all times during any proceedings you may have. You have 14 days to contest or dispute your ticket. You have 2 options to contest a ticket:

1) Informal hearing - heard by a magistrate and the officer will be present OR 2) Formal hearing - heard by the Judge and the prosecuting attorney.

This schedule only applies to Civil infraction tickets, not misdemeanor cases that must be heard in court. If you have both a misdemeanor charge and a civil infraction on your ticket, call the court as soon as possible to get information regarding your court date and/or payment information.

To pay with a debit/credit card, we use a third-party vendor. You can visit paygov.us OR call (866) 480-8552. The pay location code (PLC) for this court is 3718.
