His research interests include breast reconstruction, facial trauma, craniosynostosis, the economics of plastic surgery, and upper extremity prosthetics. He received the Georgiade Award at the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons for his work regarding aesthetic outcomes in breast reconstruction.
