$17,500 Worth of Scholarships to Arlington ISD Students

Chamber of Commerce Scholarships Sponsored by the Arlington Chamber Foundation

Seven $2,500 Chamber Scholarships are being offered to seven 2015-2016 graduating seniors of the

Arlington Independent School District ? one from each AISD high school, with the final (seventh) scholarship selected from among all AISD high schools

To apply for these scholarships applicants are required to attend the University of Texas at Arlington or Tarrant County College by the academic year 2016-2017 to be eligible for the scholarship.

Applications must include the following: Essay - a typed 400 to 500 word essay on the following topic: Tell us why the career you have chosen will be in demand in the future. PDF version of the application is available at chamberfoundation that must be filled out prior to printing and included in submission packet. Academic and Personal Recommendations as defined on the Scholarship Application. Transcript included.

Judging criteria: The essay will be evaluated based upon content, originality, overall impression, and proper grammatical and punctuation usage.

Selection Criteria: Members of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Champion Education Committee and community business leaders will evaluate all applications received. The top applicants will be interviewed by a Committee of the Arlington Chamber Foundation Board for the final decision.
