Executive Order 11407

Amending Executive Order No. 11174, establishing the Presidential Service

Certificate and the Presidential Service Badge.

By virtue of the authority vested in me as President of the United States

and as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, it is

ordered as follows:

Paragraphs i, 2, and 3 of Executive Order No. 11174 (29 F.R.12547; 3 CFR

1964-1965 Comp., p.239.) of September I, 1964, entitled Establishing the

Presidential Service Certificate and the Presidential Service Badge", are

hereby amended to read as follows:

"i. Certificate established. The White House Service Certificate is

hereby reestablished as the Presidential Service Certificate to be awarded

in the name of the President of the United States to members of the Army,

Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard who have been assigned to

the White House for a period of at least one year subsequent to January

20, 1961.

~"2. Award of the Certificate. The Presidential Service Certificate,

the design of which accompanies and is hereby made a part of this Order,

shall be awarded by the Secretary of the Army, the Secretary of the Navy,

the Secretary of the Air Force, or, when the Coast Guard is not operating

as a seryice in the Navy, the Secretary of Transportation, to military

OMSA MEMBER RECEIVES NICARAGUAN ORDER - It has been announced on December Ii, 1968 that our member MrJ Sylvan M. Marshall (OMSA #1209) senior partner in the Washington law firm of Marshall & Harrison, has been decorated with the Order of Ruben Dario by the Government of Nicaragua. The medal and diploma were conferred upon Mr. Marshall by His Excellency, Dr. Guillermo Sevilla-Sacasa, Ambassador of Nicaragua and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Washington, D.C. Mr. Marshall has previously received, for legal services to foreign governments, The Order of Vasco Nunez de Balboa (Panama); the Order of the Crown of Iran; ~he Order of the Lion of Finland; and the Order of the Southern Cross of Brasil.

Our Friend and Fellow Member Mr. Alexander B. ~Wack" O'Brien announces that he is now in business as the GOLDEN GATE STAMP COMPANY, at
