CEDRIC R. JASMIN

Colonel, U.S. Army Reserve

Born in Lihue, Hawaii, COL Jasmin received his Commission from the University of Hawaii Army ROTC program in 1982. He began his Army career as platoon leader and Force Development Officer in the 181st Transportation Battalion, Mannheim, Germany. He served as an operations officer, Deputy Chief of Staff for Training, Headquarters Sixth U.S. Army and Protocol Officer, Secretary to the General Staff, Sixth U.S. Army, Presidio of San Francisco. He served as Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC) Bremerhaven Terminal. He then served as Chief, Support Services Division, followed by Assistant S-3/Port Operations Officer, MTMC Bremerhaven Terminal, Bremerhaven, Germany. He deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm serving in MTMC Southwest Asia, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He then served as an Assistant Professor of Military Science, Central Washington University, Ellensburg, Washington.

In 1993 he left active duty and entered the U.S. Army Reserve. He served as Transportation Management Officer, Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA), U.S. Army Personnel Command, Alexandria, Virginia. Followed by assignments as Logistics Staff Officer (IMA), Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Pentagon, Washington, DC; Terminal Operations Officer (IMA), MTMC, Alexandria, Virginia; Terminal Operations Officer, Drilling Individual Mobilization Augmentee (DIMA), Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, Ft. Eustis, Virginia; Transportation Staff Officer (DIMA), 599th Transportation Group, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii. COL Jasmin is currently assigned as the Deputy Commander (DIMA), 599th Transportation Group, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii.

COL Jasmin is a graduate of the Transportation Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Logistics Executive Development Course, the U.S. Army Management Staff College, Defense Leadership and Management Program (DLAMP) and the U.S. Army War College. He is a graduate of University of Hawaii with a BA Degree in Sociology; Shippensburg University with a Masters Degree in Public Administration; and the U.S. Army War College with a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies.

COL Jasmin has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Medal (with 1 Oak Leaf Clusters), Joint Service Achievement Medal (with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster) and Army Staff Identification Badge.

In his civilian occupation, he is Department of Army civilian employee with the Transportation Policy Division, Force Projection and Distribution Directorate, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G4, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Pentagon, Washington, DC.

COL Jasmin resides in Fairfax, Virginia with his wife Maribel and daughter Christina.

COL Jasmin is currently mobilized serving the acting commander, 599th Transportation Group, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii.
