POST: Digital Content Creator

HOURS: 37 hours per week (fixed term until July 31st 2021)

LOCATION: Middlesbrough and Hartlepool

LINE MANAGER: CCF Project Leader & Digital Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:

The Digital Content Creator role is funded by the Creative Collaboration Fund and is part of an FE+ Colleges bid to develop digital capabilities across the region. The holder of this role will lead on; the use of digital tools (e.g. online platforms) to support the improvement of digital capacity in our staff and students; the production of high quality online learning resources to address identified learning gaps; and the curation of these resources to allow them to be shared between the collaborating colleges and across the FE sector.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To facilitate the creation of digital content for the School in line with the aims and objectives of the College Collaboration Fund project and with the goal of maximising staff and students’ digital skills development.

• To liaise with staff and students in order to identify, design and create appropriate digital learning assets for use within the Art and Design curriculum. 

• To support School staff and students’ understanding and development of employability skills in relation to digital. 

• To work closely with academic staff to produce creative e-learning materials and digital resources for art and design curriculum delivery and assessment.  

• To assist art and design tutors in adapting and curating subject specific e-learning materials and video presentations. 

• To lead the effective design and creation of accessible online art and design related learning materials for use across multiple platforms and devices that can be shared with the wider FE community through open license.
