Current Issues and Enduring Questions A Guide to Critical Thinking and Argument with Readings

For those familiar with the earlier editions of this book this edition is updated to have a few more modern issues lending a bit more credence to the word "current" in the title. However, as much as I have enjoyed this book throughout the years I am still not fully convinced it is really current enough. I would prefer to have more content related to computing/cyber issues/technology in general, global warming, robotics, war in the 21st century, genetic modification/manipulation, cloning, and more "on the horizon" issues that humanity will sooner or later be facing. This book always seems to be a few steps behind the more modern challenges that we face as humans. However, in reviewing what actually is in the book it is an excellent piece of work. Anyone looking to become a more critical thinker in general will benefit greatly by buying this book.

Absolutely terrible ebook experience. If we could actually scroll through the pages the book (either on a Kindle App, or Kindle Reader on my mac, etc - none work) that would be of some use. I want my rental money back!

This textbook is a good one. I am not regret buying this textbook. This is a bit of complicated textbook, but definitely worthy to read all over again.
