In July, 2018 Richard Parr joined Aspen Dental Management, Inc. as Chief Legal Officer. Aspen Dental Management is a dental services organization that provides non-clinical business services to licensed, independent dentists, a support model that allows dentists to focus on providing clinical care to their patients. From 2006 to 2018, he served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at HCR Manor Care (NYSE: HCR), a nationwide provider of post-acute care, long-term care, and home health and hospice services, where he currently serves as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. From 1996 to 2006, he served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Concentra Inc., a national occupational healthcare company. Prior to joining Concentra, Parr served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of OrNda HealthCorp, a national hospital management company.

Parr is a member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and has served as a member of its Board of Directors and of its Executive Steering Committee. He is also a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.

Parr began his legal career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable William J. Holloway, Jr., Chief Judge of the Tenth Circuit United States Court of Appeals. He was an Associate with the law firms of Gardner, Carton & Douglas and Johnson & Swanson.

Parr received his Bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University where he graduated cum laude. He received his J.D. degree from the Cornell Law School, where he served as a Senior Editor of the Cornell Law Review.
