THE ASPEN GROUP

Founded in 2002, and listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2003, Aspen is a leading provider of insurance and reinsurance to clients. We operate through wholly-owned subsidiaries and offices in Australia, Bermuda, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Aspen is diversified, well-capitalised and strongly rated. We provide our clients with significant risk capacity, and consistently demonstrate innovation and excellence in our approach to underwriting.

ASPEN INSURANCE

Our insurance business comprises property, casualty, marine,

energy and transportation, and financial & professional lines.

At our London base, Aspen Insurance is a significant writer of traditional property and casualty lines, and a leading specialist in energy, marine, aviation, financial & professional lines, specie, credit and political risks, kidnap ransom and piracy cover, and excess casualty.

Our London Market and UK domestic insurance business, along with risks in Ireland and Switzerland, is underwritten on Aspen Insurance UK Limited and Lloyd's of London paper, the latter through our Lloyd's Syndicate 4711.

We are also building our presence significantly in the US market. To complement our established US lines in property, casualty and environmental liability, we are expanding our capabilities in specialty lines including inland marine and ocean risks, selected financial & professional lines and surety. In the United States, our admitted business is underwritten by Aspen American Insurance Company and non-admitted (excess & surplus) business by Aspen Specialty Insurance Company.

In addition to our London Market and US operations, we offer capacity for certain lines of business from our offices in Bermuda, Dublin and Geneva. And in the UK, Aspen Risk Management Limited offers a range of risk management and health and safety services in addition to packaged property and casualty insurance products, as well as a growing number of other products from a network of regional offices.
