It is mandatory to consult the CSEA Maui Branch Manager of the aforementioned unit with regard to the actual square footage of each site and space requirements suitable for each office’s needs and personnel classification. In other words, Offerors are responsible for field verifying room dimensions to assure themselves that layouts will fit in the proposed spaces;

▪ Need modular furniture, including a U-shaped desk, 2 guest chairs, an office chair, a tack board and two sets of file drawers for each of two existing offices for the following positions:

▪ In addition, 28 chairs will be required for clients aside from those at the workstations.

▪ Fabric of the modular systems furniture must meet all applicable fire retardant and/or flame spread codes;

▪ Each workstation shall have at least one cantilevered under desk drawer, and two file cabinets. Overhead bin or shelf should be considered to maximize the storage capacity. If they are in the design, task lights are required. An ergonomic chair shall also be included in each cubicle.

▪ In addition, our telephone operations office will require a modular setup including the same as workstation above.

▪ Panels of the modular systems furniture must be distortion-free and the ANSI/BIFMA X5.6-2003 panel systems test;

▪ If glass is used in the modular systems furniture, it has to be tempered;

▪ The design shall take into consideration of the existing needs of electric/data/voice pathways and outlets. Data/voice/cabling should run to the work surface; The Offeror shall be in charge of any electric work required for this project.

▪ Panels against the existing wall of the area must be 30” above the floor to provide access to the electrical and data outlets.

▪ The design shall factor in the locations of the overhead sprinklers, air vents, light fixtures, and strobe lights, if any, and ensure there is no obstruction for future maintenance and violation of the fire code.

▪ The design has to accommodate and include desks/tables for the following equipment and furniture:

Two court boxes for out-going and incoming documents

Eight printers

Two boxes for incoming and outgoing CSEA mail

One scanner

One table for scanner

Computer and Monitor for scanner, and 4 trays for documents

One table for process servers’ out/in trays

Two tables for employees in-boxes

Storage space for Xerox paper

Postal machine

Fax machine

2 typewriters

Conference table

Breakroom table

▪ It shall be clearly stated in the plan whether additional electric and cabling modification is required; and

▪ The Offeror is responsible for obtaining the CAD drawing of the office space.

▪ The Offeror shall attach the final drawing of the space design and product information along with the bid in the State of Hawaii electronic procurement system (i.e. HIePRO) by the deadline. If the file size is too large or it is not feasible to provide the attachment, hard copies of the drawing and the product information must deliver to the following address by the deadline:

Installation of Modular Systems Furniture

▪ Contractor shall make a turnkey delivery and assembly of the workstations;

▪ Installing vendor shall provide wall protection in elevators;

▪ Delivery and installation dates must be determined with the consent of the contracting offices, and the work will be performed during normal business hours;

▪ Installing vendor will need to coordinate with electrician and cabling installer;

▪ Contractor will be responsible for cleanup and removal of all trash from the job site.

▪ Contractor will be responsible for removal and moving of displaced furniture to a designated storage facility.

Painting of workspace

Contactor shall subcontract for the painting of the entire office, including public areas, file room, conference room and kitchen.

Carpet cleaning

Contactor shall subcontract for the cleaning of the existing carpet in the entire office.
