Applicants need to be driven in nature, possess the ability to lead and motivate others, have a general knowledge of business or ability to learn, and willingness and ability to commit the remainder of their academic time at Concordia serving through leadership at 10:31 Coffee. Being a manager for 10:31 Coffee can fulfill the internship requirement for the business department and provides great resume and leadership experience. 10:31 Coffee managers lead the team through fulfilling the barista role and managerial duties. Responsibilities include product knowledge and development, friendliness and excellent customer service, public relations, supervising of employees, cash handling, expense management, budget review, inventory management, marketing, advertising, and more. Program description:10:31 Coffee management trainees will spend 3-7 hours per week for the duration of the current semester training as a barista (if no 10:31 experience is already acquired) as well as learning the ropes of 10:31 Coffee and an introduction to the management position. Trainees will need to be able commit 10-12 hours able per week during the spring semester of 2018 to further training under 10:31 Coffee management and begin fulfilling the job duties as assistant managers. During the fall semester of 2018, trainees will need to be able to commit 15-20 hours per week as they will act as assistant managers, continuing to grow in leadership and responsibilities. Following the 2017-2018 academic year, trainees will spend the next 1-2 school years actively managing 10:31 Coffee, leading a team of baristas and working towards growth and develop of the business.
