ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER 2-2020

Job Description:

Supports the Project Manager with all aspects of a construction project and acts as a liaison between the office and the field. Maintains all project related documents, and ensure timely distribution. Provide all aspects of project support

Reports to:

• Project Manager and Business Unit Vice President

Responsibilities:

• Organize and manage all required project management documents on multiple projects.

• Review submittals and equipment cut sheets against specified materials and equipment for the project. Ensure that all issues are addressed prior to final review of project management.

• Prepare and Process project submittals after approval by Project Manager. Maintain submittal logs, track return and distribution in accordance with project construction schedule and project needs. Perform follow up as needed.

• Prepare and maintain field quality control and ensure all specific materials that have been approved are installed in the project in accordance with specifications and design team comments.

• Perform periodic progress photos and field inspections with field superintendents. Document for C&W records.

• Ensure that field issues and requests for information (RFI) are brought from the field and distributed appropriately to design team. Ensure communication with project management.

• Distribute all bulletins and field notifications to appropriate parties for project coordination. Assemble all necessary paperwork and pricing to allow for change order preparation by project management.

• Maintain and review that field requirements for the project are established and maintained throughout the project.

• Work with field superintendent to coordinate and hold subcontractor meetings. Take and distribute minutes of these meeting.

• Coordinate with site super and prepare the project 2 week look ahead schedule to be distributed with weekly meeting minutes.

Responsibilities continued:

• Be able to or have the ability to work in the field and office environment.

• Prepare draft Contemplated Change Orders for final review by C&W PM.

• Prepare subcontractor Change Orders for final review by C&W PM.

• Update and confirm CC log with C&W PM, minimally on a monthly basis.

• Work with field superintendents and administrative assistants to maintain and update drawing logs, coordination drawings, sketch logs, and keep an integrated field set of drawings updated for field use.

Education:

• Bachelor Degree required. Preferred in construction or architecture.

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the construction industry.

• OSHA 30 Certification

Proficiencies:

• Microsoft Suite.

• Sage 300

• Proficiency in is a plus, will be a company requirement

• Ability to read construction documents and specifications.

• Ability to manage construction project meeting.

• Ability to perform quantity take-offs, dissever specifications, and multitask.

• Use of Company Project Scheduling software.
