Key factsJob title:Assistant Project ManagerLocation:Based in New Bond Street and / or siteBusiness:Central LondonReport to:Projects DirectorThe purpose of the roleThe Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in all aspects of project management, including:Responsibility for the overall delivery of projects over their entire duration, including the co-ordination of and interfacing with all internal teams and external consultantsManaging and co-ordinating all aspects of the Architectural, Engineering and Design/Planning activities of the Business and all matters to enable the commencement of the Works on site by the appointed Principal Contractor Responsibility for co-ordination and review of the programme ensuring delivery on time and on budget. Dealing with technical and design issues that arise during design development and once on site. These will include matters arising post completion and during after care. These will also include the discharge of NHBC and planning conditions.Key accountabilitiesAssist in the overall management of projects from site acquisition to deliveryAssist in the management of external planning, architectural and engineering consultants to ensure that all design information is received, co-ordinated and distributed on time and within budget.Prepare and maintain programmes and documents for the monitoring of progress and for use in reporting to the Projects Director.Assist in maintaining, utilising and advising on improving the department’s Design Manual.Coordinate the preparation of the Pre tender Health and Safety plan.Arrange, co-ordinate and manage project meetings with other departments in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all relevant action points are noted and recorded.Manage the pre-distribution of information and taking of minutes from all meetings together with updated programmes / status reports.Liaise and negotiate where necessary with Statutory Authorities, Local Planning Authorities, Consultants etc. to ensure projects achieve the set objectives and programmes.Prepare materials for present to the BUMT each month at the Development ReviewPrimary network: who you will work with Internal:Board Directors, Projects Team, Commercial Team, Sales team, Land teamExternal:Consultants, Principal Contractors Key competenciesBe Planned and Organised – Work smartly, efficiently and manages their time well.
