Michael G. Bartz Business Health Administration Scholarship

DEADLINE: March 17, 2017

Michigan HomeCare & Hospice Association (MHHA) is pleased to announce the Michigan Foundation for Home Care Michael G. Bartz Health Administration Scholarship Program in honor of Michael Bartz, past MHHA member and Board President who lost his battle to cancer in 2013. MHHA will award a student who is currently pursuing a Health Administration degree. All MHHA members are encouraged to nominate deserving candidates for the award.

MHHA is committed to helping build a pipeline of health care professionals to meet the future needs of the home care and hospice industry. We designed our scholarship program to encourage students to pursue a leadership role in health administration. The scholarships are open to students currently enrolled/accepted in an accredited business Health Administration program. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.

The MHHA office will accept scholarship applications until March 17, 2017. Applications will then be given to the Education Committee with all applicant names and employer information removed, to avoid bias. The Education Committee will make a decision at its April meeting. Winners will be announced during the Annual Conference Award Luncheon. Scholarship awardees will receive a check in the amount of $1500 from Michigan Foundation for Home Care. Checks will be made payable jointly to the educational institution and recipient.
