2014 ADMINISTRATOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The School Superintendents of Alabama (SSA) recognizes the need to attract qualified persons into the field of school administration. Therefore, SSA will award four (4) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to enable four current Alabama educators to pursue a graduate degree in school administration from an in-state public college or university. The degree may be at the M.S./M.A., AA/Ed.S, or Ed.D./Ph.D. levels, and the recipients may be either teachers, counselors or aspiring administrators. Recipients of this scholarship are not eligible to reapply.

1) APPLICANT LETTER: In this separate letter to the SSA Scholarship Committee, CLEARLY describe why you plan to pursue a graduate degree in Educational Administration and how you hope to apply it after graduation.

2) HONORS & AWARDS: Provide a list of any professional honors and professional awards.

3) EVIDENCE OF LEADERSHIP: Provide a list of professional activities you have participated within your school system and/or outside your school system.

4) LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: Provide only 2 letters of recommendation and one of them should be from your immediate supervisor.
