All information files are linked together for seamless exploration.Occupation and Employment InformationOccupations: detailed information on over 500 occupations with current regional, state and national labor market data. Organized by career fields and career clusters.Career Fields: information on Minnesota’s six career fields with links to career clusters and pathways.Career Clusters: information on the 16 career clusters with links to career pathways.Green Jobs: information about occupations that work towards a more environmentally friendly workplace and world.STEM Jobs: information about occupations that require education in Science, Technology, Engineering and mathematics.Hot Jobs: information about occupations that have high rates of growth from new jobs, high projected openings and above average wages.Military Employment: general information about the military, plus over 500 military occupational descriptions.Industries: state and national information on 60 major industries.Self-Employment: helps the user determine if self-employment is right for them; includes an entrepreneurship career assessment.Job Search: how to conduct a successful job search, plus tips on interviewing techniques and writing resumes and cover letters.Job Success: information to help users stay gainfully employed.Occupation Sort: creates a list of occupations based on certain preferences users consider important.Occupation Filter: allows the user to find occupations based on education level, wage and other occupation factors.Education and Training InformationPrograms of Study: admission and coursework requirements for over 800 program categories, plus descriptions of the programs offered by each school.Minnesota Schools: detailed information on licensed and accredited higher education institutions in Minnesota.U.S. Schools: detailed information on over 4,000 licensed and accredited higher education institutions.Apprenticeship: general information on apprenticeships plus contacts for sponsors throughout Minnesota.Short-term Training: listing of short-term training programs requiring less than one year to complete.Other Ways to Learn: information about dual credit options, work-based learning, service learning and other educational programs and initiatives for youth and adults.Scholarships: sortable database of over 4,000 awards.Paying for School: helps users understand the financial aid process and the need to plan ahead to pay for school; includes charts, calculators and videos.School Sort: creates a list of schools based on user selected criteria.Financial Aid Sort: creates a list of scholarships based on selected criteria.Assessment ToolsIDEAS (Interest Determination, Exploration and Assessment System): fully normed interest assessment for age levels junior high, high school and adult.
