The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude test that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. This test is required to join any branch of the military. This test is also available to those not interested in the military. The?ASVAB Career Exploration Program provides tools to help students learn more about career exploration and planning, in both the civilian and military worlds of work. Sophomores are also invited to take the assessment, however the ASVAB score earned as a sophomore will not be valid for entrance into the military. Please go to the Google Form link to register:? or go to Student Services if you are interested.3. The SAT will be given at West on March 9.? Remember:?(1) Students MUST have their registration ticket with them in order to test.? (2) Registration tickets must have a photo ID of the student. Your picture on the?photo must be "passport like" quality.? It must be a clear front shot with ONLY one person in the picture.? (3) You must have a valid ID.? Even with your picture is on the registration ticket, if you don't have a valid ID you will not be allowed to test. (4) Bring your own calculator; we do not have any available to loan during testing.? Testing will be in the 300 & 400 buildings.? Students selected as Furman Scholars are eligible for at least $20,000 per year, $80,000 over four years, in scholarships upon acceptance into Furman University. Honor Graduates are designated on the basis of class rank at the end of the first (1st) semester.? Ten percent (10%) of the senior class enrollment at the end of the fourth (4th) full?month of school is the method we use to determine those to be honored.Junior Marshals are selected on the basis of class rank.? The number of Junior Marshals may vary from 3 to 5 percent of the junior class based on the junior class enrollment at the end of the 4th full month of school.
