LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS/INVITATION TO BID
Sealed proposals for materials and labor for the THE PLAINS COMMUNITY PARK SHELTER HOUSE AND BASKETBALL COURT/ODNR NATUREWORKS PROJECT ATHE-025 will be received at the office of the Athens Township Trustees until 5:30 PM, Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The scope of the project consists of 1) a 47’ x 50’ concrete slab basketball court without pole and hoop, 2) a wood frame 20’ x 40’ shelter house with concrete slab floor, and 3) a 100 amp electric service to the shelter house with outlets and fixtures. Bidders are hereby notified that the project is subject to all ODNR NatureWorks policies and procedures, including prevailing wages. Copies of the plans, specifications and other contract documents are available at the township website under the PROJECT tab or can be obtained by contacting Steve Pierson at spierson@ or call/text (740) 517-5467. Bids on all 3 project components should be listed separately and bids will be accepted on any single project component. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of a bond as required in Ohio Revised Code §153.54 (A) with a satisfactory surety or accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than ten (10%) per cent of the amount of the proposal by a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit on a solvent bank pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Chapter 1305 and §153.54. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond. Bids shall be sealed and marked as THE PLAINS COMMUNITY PARK SHELTER HOUSE AND BASKETBALL COURT/ODNR NATUREWORKS PROJECT ATHE-025 and mailed or delivered to: Athens Township Trustees, 313 W. Union Street, Athens, Ohio 45701 or emailed to spierson@. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
