There were 14 members present and 1 guest when President Suzanne Rusnak opened the meeting at 6:30 P.M. at Buca Di Beppo.

Linda Appel brought a guest this evening a potential member Dawn Hilt hope she joins.

Norm Resko reported that the Builders Club has been very busy and are planning a car wash.

Suzanne introduced tonight's guest speaker our own Scott Goggin Westlake School Superintendent speaking on the state of the city's schools. Scott said there was a 20/20 planning committee formed to plan the direction of Westlake schools. TheirMission Statement is Westlake City School District will provide a dynamic, student-centered, 21st Century learning environment. Our district will be characterized by high achievement, actively engaged learners, mutual respect, shared knowledge, pursuit of new skills and capabilities, collaborative learning, willingness to take action, a team commitment to data-

driven continuous improvement, and tangible results.

The committee went out and met with various businesses to find out what they would need from students graduating from Westlake in the future. Scott said they are seeking progress not perfection. Scott spoke about the state of the City Schools:

Scott took many questions from the floor and lastly he said. "It's All Here" whatever you need you for your future you can find in the Westlake City Schools.
