Auburn City Schools Wellness Assessment Summary 2021Auburn City Schools Wellness Policy Summary was extended to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the USDA extension waivers for the triennial assessment for local wellness policies.Review of all 13 school sites was completed by individual school site wellness teams and then reviewed as a whole at the district level. Based on the WELLSAT 3.0, the district received a strong strength score and will continue to enhance the school-wide wellness plan for students in the district.With the recent pandemic, the focus of wellness has been enhanced while maintaining all COVID-19 protocols. The district-wide Return to School Learning detailed instruction for overall protocols to maintain wellness for students and employees. Additionally, a district-wide vaccination clinic was held to provide opportunity for all ACS employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. To ensure wellness, the district scorecard indicated positive results for nutrition education, USDA school meal operations, competitive food nutrition standards, physical education/activity, wellness promotion and marketing, and evaluation procedures for district health and wellness. The district scorecard is available for review as part of the wellness assessment and summary for the community.Auburn City Schools prioritizes health standards and continues to provide students a safe and healthy environment as prioritized in the Auburn City Schools Strategic Plan. ................
