Click Log In. Document 1: MatchmakerClick on Assessments link in the menu bar at the top of the page. Choose Start Matchmaker, read through the instructions and enter a title for your session (example: year in school). Click Start Now and begin. Answer the questions if you are unsure of the meaning of a question you can get clarification by clicking on More Info section for an explanation. You can fine tune your results more by clicking on Answer More Questions in the Improve My Results section on the left side of the page. When all finished answering questions select View My Career Suggestions. You may click on the career to learn about it and see how it matches to your answers. Once complete and you can see your career suggestions click on Share My Plan at the top of the page. In the share my plan with others box click on Invite Others to View My Plan. Fill out the requested information to share this plan with your advisor for grading. Have the invitation for viewing stay active until June 15, 2017. Make sure you have selected that your advisor can view your Matchmaker and Skills in the Assessment section.Document 2: Post-Secondary/5th Year PlanOpen the My Plan menu near the top of the page and click on My Goals & Plans.Career Planning ActivitiesThe purpose of this section of the Plan is to record career planning activities that you have already completed or are involved in currently.Click on Career Planning Activities.Step 1. Click Add An Activity and select an activity that you have completed or are involved in from the dropdown menu. Record the organization name in the space provided.Step 2. Fill in the start and end dates (month and year) for that activity.Step 3. Record what you did, what you learned from that activity, new skills you acquired, and any other important information in the Description area.Step 4. Attach any related files by clicking on the Attach File button.Step 5. Click the blue Save button. Step 6. Continue to add other career planning and exploration activities.You can edit and delete your activities once they have been saved by clicking on the appropriate icon. Be sure to save any changes you make!Post – Secondary PlanThis section of the Plan brings together all the activities you have done into a plan for post-secondary education. Click on Post-Secondary Plan.Step 1. Click the Career Goals tab. By now, you have probably looked at a number of careers in Career Cruising and in other career exploration activities. Select one or two cluster interests that you are really interested in pursuing, then choose the careers that most interest you. Click the blue Save button.Step 2. Click the Educational Goals tab. Select the level of education you plan on pursuing to meet your career goals. Then select the schools that you would seriously want to attend. Click on the Save button under the list of schools.Step 3. Click the Financial Plans tab. What sources of funding are you going to need in order to pay for your post-secondary education? Select the options you will pursue and click the blue Save button at the bottom of the page. Career & Life GoalsHere you can record your short and long term goals. Click on Career & Life Goals. Step 1. Describe the goals that you have for the immediate future in the Short Term Goals section. If you want to see sample goals, click on the question mark icon. When you have entered your thoughts, click the blue Save button.Step 2. Describe the goals that you want to achieve over a longer period of time in the Long Term Goals section. If you want to see sample goals, click on the question mark icon. Click Save when you are finished.Document 3: ApplicationThe High School & Beyond Plan requires completion of an application for post-secondary education/training. Examples can include an application for a job, further schooling (ex: College Application or College Admittance Letter), or military service. Career Cruising allows you to either upload an application or scan by following these steps:1.Save or scan a completed application. 2.Log onto Career Cruising.3.Go into your portfolio under “My Plan” which is located under your name. 4.Scroll down to the bottom of the page on the right side. 5.You will see “My Files” also “Upload a File”. 6.Click on the Upload File and it will automatically display your documents. Find the document you want to upload and double click on it or click on the “Open” button. 7.It will download into your portfolio and you will see it appear under “My Files”. Refresh your page and then click onto the new file to make sure all went well.Document 4: Creating Your 4 Year PlanFrom the Senior Portfolio Webpage click on the side bar choose Four Year Plan. From the Four Year Plan page click on the Four Year Plan link. Open the document and fill in electronically. Save document to your student drive and then either email your advisor a completed copy or print and deliver a hard copy to your advisor.Document 5: Community ServiceThe High School & Beyond Plan requires completion of 12 hours of Community Service/ Exploration. Get this document on the Senior Portfolio website. Complete your required hours, get signatures required for documentation, and turn completed form into advisor. ................
