We’re learning that 2020 is all about the year of the DIY haircut and we are encouraging people to shape and grow a mullet for the month of SeptemberThat’s why we have Mullets for Mental Health! A campaign to raise funds to help continue researching mental health support, whilst shaping our locks into the classic Aussie Mullet.At the Black Dog Institute we offer services and support for everybody at every age. So whether you’re just growing your first bits of fluff or you’re desperately combing over what’s left, we’ve got tailored mental health support for you. And now we’re calling on you to help us too.“It’s really to highlight what’s on all of our minds and heads throughout Australia at the moment, our mental health,” says Black Dog Institute Fundraising Manager, Evan Jackson.“One in five people experience mental health issues in any given year and sadly up to 60 per cent of people don’t seek support for those issues. We want everyone to get on board with this campaign, help us to raise funds for a good cause and put smiles back on the faces of the nation in doing so.”And this year the message of seeking support for your mental health couldn’t be any more prevalent. In order to assure we can support everyone we need donations to come rolling in.
