The NMLS 2012 Streamlined Renewal Process begins November 1st. Licenses issued by your state regulator through NMLS must be renewed through NMLS. The NMLS Renewal Process ends December 31st.

How to Prepare:

• Confirm your company’s NMLS login has not expired.

• Verify all license(s) are in an approved status and all license requirements and/or deficiencies are satisfied (outstanding Financial Statement requirements will prevent you from renewing a company license) – see Quick Guide

• Log into NMLS and confirm that your company’s NMLS record is up-to-date

• Determine if all of your Mortgage Loan Originators have met applicable CE Requirements and satisfied all license requirements and/or deficiencies.

• Review the Uniform Renewal Checklist to confirm your company’s ability to provide any information or documentation your regulator requires outside NMLS during renewal.

• Review the tools and resources available in the Renewals Overview section of the NMLS Resource Center.

Renewal Workshop

NMLS is sponsoring a web-based training workshop on the topic of Annual Renewal. The workshop will train companies how to efficiently manage the renewal of their company, branch and individual licenses. The workshop will be offered on various dates throughout the fall. Annual Financial Statements

Company licenses will not be eligible for renewal if there is an outstanding financial statement license item. Confirm that all license items for financial statements have been cleared.
