IMPORTANT: The SaveAs command allows you to choose where you want to save a file (USB, My Documents, Desktop, etc.) and allows you to change the file name.Click on MY DOCUMENTS (this tells the computer where on your computer you are saving the file.)In the FILE NAME, type Holiday Calendar.Click SAVE.INSERTING CLIP ARTClick the INSERT TAB then click CLIPART.In the SEARCH FOR box, type THANKSGIVING and click GO.Scroll down the pictures and click once on the picture you like.The picture should now appear in your blank document. Click the HOME TAB. Under the FONT GROUP, click BOLD.Change the FONT FACE to COMIC SANS MS.Change the FONT SIZE to 11.DESELECT THE TABLE.Select only ROW 1.RIGHT CLICK and choose BORDERS AND SHADING.Click the SHADING TAB. Under FILL click the arrow and choose ORANGE, ACCENT 6RESIZING ROWS AND COLUMNSSelect ROWS 2-6 in the table. RIGHT CLICK and select TABLE PROPERTIES.Click the ROW TAB.Click the box next to SPECIFY HEIGHT. Increase the size to 0.7” by clicking the arrow in the upward direction.Click OK.INSERTING WORDARTClick between the TABLE and the THANKSGIVING PICTURE.Click the INSERT TAB. In the TEXT GROUP click WORDART.Click on WORDART STYLE 16 (THE MULTI-COLORED PICTURE).Type NOVEMBER 2011 and click OK.Click on NOVEMBER 2011 and under the PARAGRAPH GROUP click the CENTER icon.MERGING CELLSSelect only the first 2 CELLS to the right of November 30.RIGHT CLICK. Click on MERGE CELLS. Notice that two cells changed into one long cell.Click anywhere in the newer, larger cell.Click the INSERT TAB. Click CLIPART. Type THANKSGIVING DINNER into the SEARCH FOR BOX.Scroll down. Click on the picture of the Food, Holidays and PiesRESIZE the picture by pulling on the CORNER SIZING HANDLES and pulling toward the OPPOSITE CORNER. Do this until the picture fits into the newly merged cells – AND – until your calendar is back to 1 page.Click to the RIGHT of the Food, Holidays and Pies picture and type the following: Calendar by your First Name and Your Last Name.INSERTING WATERMARKClick the PAGE LAYOUT TAB and go to the PAGE BACKGROUND GROUP.Click the ARROW next to WATERMARK and click CUSTOM WATERMARK.Click the CIRCLE next to PICTURE WATERMARK. Now click SELECT PICTURE.Click on ONE of the AUTUMN LEAVES pictures. Click APPLY AND CLOSE.To finish your calendar…Choose other pictures and insert them into the cells of your choice.Resize the pictures so that your calendar stays at one page. Add text and other notes to other cells. ................
