Coaches:

Welcome to the Cross Country Regional (Div. 16-2 and Div.26.3) at Algonac High School on Friday, October 25. The schedule is as follows:

INSPECTION OF COURSE:

The course will be open for review at 2 p.m.

MEETING FOR COACHES: 3 p.m. on track at finish line.

RACE SCHEDULE:

3:30 p.m. - Division II – Girls

4:00 p.m. - Division III – Girls

4:30 p.m. - Division II – Boys

5:00 p.m. - Division III – Boys

5:30 p.m. - Open Race for High School Athletes

$3 charge per individual with a maximum $20 a team (boys & girls separate teams) will be charged for open races. Fees may be paid by check or cash in the Registration Room any time prior to the open races.

AWARDS:

6:15 p.m. – will take place on track – have athletes and spectators sit in bleachers

If there is inclement weather, awards will take place inside in gymnasium.

PACKETS

The coach’s packet will include bib numbers for your runners, safety pins, substitution form, appeal form, course map, and program. Packets will be available in the Registration Room – in the Concession Building. Remember after the races, to get a MHSAA state packet for those teams/runners moving on to state finals at MIS. Packets will be available in the Registration Room after results are published.

RESULTS:

Results will be provided for all coaches shortly after races are completed in the Registration Room and will also be posted near Concession Building for spectators and athletes. Results will also be available the next day on , and . Coaches, the open race will have a running clock, but you are responsible for your runners’ times.

TIMERS:

Access to the wooded trail will be limited to coaches and team timers after 3:20 p.m. Your student timers must have a timer lanyard to gain access to the mile mark. Lanyards will be in your coaches’ packets.

UNIFORMS:

All MHSAA rules will be in affect. Watches allowed, but no other jewelry unless medical.

PARKING:

Buses and team vans will be directed to a parking area. All spectators may park in the school lots which surround the high school building. Our student day ends at 2:20 p.m. and parking area is congested. We suggest you avoid arriving between 2:20 p.m. and 2:35 p.m.

ADMISSION:

MHSAA rates are $5 per person, for entry to the meet. This is a MHSAA requirement from which we cannot deviate.

NOTE: To all Spectators, NO PETS ALLOWED inside fencing area,

via MHSAA rules.

MHSAA SOUVENIRS:

MHSAA Souvenirs will be available from a EA Graphics. T-shirts, sweatshirts and other apparel will also be sold. These items will be on sale at the football admission booth across from concession stand.

CONCESSIONS/RESTROOMS:

A concession stand will be available throughout the meet –Restrooms available inside concession stand and baseball field press box along with porta potties.

ENTRY REGISTRATION:

All entries must be submitted electronically starting Monday, October 7 and no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, October 18. Entries are submitted online at . Enter your seven varsity athletes. As directed by the MHSAA, a $50 late fee will be assessed to schools not registering by the October 18 deadline. Changes may be made the day of the meet in the Registration Room using the form in your packet – please include bib number of athlete you are replacing.
