STUDENTS MUST DECLARE A CONCENTRATION IN PSYCHOLOGY, OR LAW, OR SOCIOLOGY THROUGH CARLETON CENTRAL (STUDENT SERVICES/ONLINE FORMS/CHANGE PROGRAM ELEMENTS) PRIOR TO REGISTRATION IN SECOND YEAR. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN REGISTRATION DIFFICULTIES.

A Concentration in Psychology requires these courses in addition to the Major Requirements (See Page 1):

► Introduction to Research Methods in Psychology PSYC 2001 [0.5] (PSYC 1001 and PSYC 1002)

► Introduction to Statistics in Psychology PSYC 2002 [0.5] (PSYC 1001, PSYC 1002 and PSYC 2001)

► Design and Analysis in Psychological Research PSYC 3000 [1.0] (PSYC 2001, PSYC 2002 & permission of the Dept.)

► 1.0 further credit(s) in Psychology at the 2000-level or higher

► 0.5 further credit in Psychology at the 3000-level or higher

The remainder of the 20 credits will be outside the Major as “Free Electives” or a Minor. Criminology cannot be combined with another Major.
