TheisenDate: August 2020JOB SUMMARYThe Program Manager, Business Operations is responsible for providing support in execution of strategic and operational initiatives. This position is responsible for providing advanced business development and program management, analytics, strategy support and coordination. This includes preparation of variance and productivity information, planning for program growth, organizational improvement, and assisting with performance excellence activities. This position works collaboratively and serves as advisor to the leadership team on matters related to operations. This position also works collaboratively with the various Directors and Managers who support Operations. Challenges encountered can be of a high complexity and require a broad knowledge of business development, healthcare and business administration, program management and planning. The incumbent is expected to identify and resolve problems with minimum direction. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Planning and ImplementationAssists and advises developing and executing strategic business plans to achieve operational objectives Develops and updates site/department goals consistent with the organization/facility’s strategic business plan, mission and vision.Supports prioritization and allocation of resources to highest strategic initiatives.Continually focuses on identifying innovative solutions and work methods, and the integration and standardization of processes to ensure effective stewardship.Develops new processes or services which includes, when appropriate, business and financial justification.Management and operations planning Assists with operations and initiatives to achieve the annual operating plan, including management of staffing, productivity, non-labor expenses and performance metrics Recommends creation of committees, workgroups, and other long-standing or ad hoc structures to support achievement of UW Health goalsParticipates in the development of programs, policies and procedures that address how the care needs of patient populations are assessed, evaluated, and metSupports budget preparation and monitoring for Operational cost center(s) in partnership with the Finance Business Partner assigned to the department.
