OPEN POSITION IN DISTRICT ATTORNEY OFFICEThe Office of the District Attorney for Kay County is seeking applicants for a full-time position of Victim Advocate. The position includes working and maintaining contact with adult and child victims of sexual and physical abuse from the time the case is filed to the disposition of the case and to provide services that are statutorily mandated for victims.Applicants must have a bachelor of science in psychology, sociology or related field.Applicants must have the ability to work directly with adult and child victims of sexual and physical abuse and an understanding of victimology, the criminal justice system, and court proceedings. Applicant must work well with staff and be a self-starter with organizational and active listening skills.This position will report directly to the District Attorney.
