2007 Dual Degree Program Structure

It is important that you read and understand the following information.

To be eligible to enrol in a dual degree program you must ensure that you satisfy the entry requirements for both programs.

Once enrolled it is your responsibility to ensure that you complete all the requirements for each section of this dual program in order to graduate with both degrees. The following information is designed to help you plan your enrolment to meet this goal. Further information can be found in the Official rules and Course lists under the Program requirements link for each program in the Programs and Courses website:



You are not required to submit this program plan for approval. However, if you have any questions or concerns about meeting degree requirements, especially when you are nearing the end of your program, please contact the relevant Faculty for advice.

• You must complete a total of #68 for the program.

Bachelor of Business Management Section Requirements:

❖ #36 from the BBusMan List including –

– #24 of compulsory courses from Group1; and

– #12 from one major in Group 2 (#6 must be at level 3); or

– #12 of elective courses from Group 3 (#6 must be at level 3, and only #2 may be at level 1).

Bachelor of Social Science Section Requirements:

❖ #32 from the BSocSc List including –

– #12 for core courses; and

– #16 for one major; and

– #4 for electives.

▲ MATH1040 is a compulsory course for students who have not satisfied the Mathematics B entry requirement and must not be studied by students who have satisfied the Mathematics B requirement. Students who are required to take MATH1040 must move either MGTS1201 or MGTS1301 to a subsequent semester. MATH1040 will count as a Group 3 Elective and as a consequence students who must do MATH1040 cannot complete a major. Please see your academic advisor in the BEL Faculty if you have any queries. It is not possible to study more than #8 in semester one of year one.

* Students are to take #2 from SOCY2339 (semester one) or SOCY3049 (semester two) in year two. Students who choose SOCY2339 should take two #2 major courses in semester two.

Students who choose SOCY3049 should take two #2 major courses in semester one.

( Students are required to undertake SOSC3201 and SOSC3211 in consecutive semesters in their final year
