MESSAGE FROM THE BALTIMORE COUNTY EXECUTIVE
It is my pleasure to introduce Community Resources 2016. We take pride in knowing the 19th edition of Community Resources provides Baltimore communities with information about the services and resources that support our families, loved ones and friends. This edition of Community Resources also celebrates the fourth year that Baltimore County and Baltimore City governments have partnered to create a regional resource directory to serve all of Baltimore's citizens. Our partnership has given us the opportunity to publish 75,000 complimentary copies of Community Resources, which will be circulated throughout Baltimore during 2016. We also are pleased to offer an audible version of the publication online at communityresources.
Educating citizens with consumer options supports Baltimore County Government's goal to enhance public awareness. We believe the directory's collection of government services, along with non-profit and business partnership listings, provide one-stop shopping for every member of your community. Please take a few moments to review the wide range of services and programs serving our citizens through Baltimore County Government.
Community Resources is a revenue-producing publication that helps to support volunteerism in Baltimore County. The resource is also produced at no cost to Baltimore County Government using recycled paper as a means to support the environment.
Thank you for using and recommending Community Resources 2016. I hope you and your family will use the directory to explore all of the resources and services that Baltimore County and City have to offer.
Very Truly Yours,

MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
It is my pleasure to introduce Baltimore County Department of Aging's (BCDA) 19th edition of Community Resources 2016; an annual resource directory serving older adults, baby boomers, caregivers, families, adults with disabilities and professionals. For the fourth year, this respected publication represents a valued collaboration with Baltimore City Government in order to provide one informational resource for both Baltimore County and City residents. Our partnership forges an exciting opportunity to enrich the directory's content while expanding the publication's distribution through a regional outreach.
The content of Community Resources includes the most current information available for all citizens. As a Maryland Access Point site, particular emphasis has been placed on expanding the publication's resources to support persons with disabilities. The directory's content includes government, non-profit and business listings. Readers will also notice blue highlighted listings throughout the directory. These highlighted listings represent sponsors of the directory. By sponsoring this publication, businesses and non-profits are supporting the mission of BCDA. To learn more about powerful sponsorship and or advertising opportunities offered by the BCDA, please phone 410-887-2012.
Creating a foundation for informed decisionmaking relies on consumer education. We believe Community Resources helps to provide the foundation that supports Baltimore communities. Whether you are searching for an assisted living or determining where to exercise, this publication contains the resources for living life to the fullest. Help educate and empower your family, friends and community by using and recommending Community Resources 2016. Enjoy!
Sincerely,
Joanne E. Williams, Director Baltimore County Department of Aging
