Baltimore County (Workforce Development Centers)

Meet with workforce development professionals to discuss job search strategies, employment referral and placement and other workforce services. Access copiers, faxes and phones for use in your job search. View videos and books and attend workshops on job search topics. Use computers equipped with Microsoft Office, Internet access and laser printers for your job search activities. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

Maryland One Stop Career Centers provide a full range of assistance to job seekers and businesses (free of charge). The centers are part of Maryland Jobs Now (MJN), a network of high-performing, results-oriented workforce organizations investing in employment and training strategies, services, and initiatives, helping job seekers and businesses succeed. Staffed with qualified professionals who can assist with training referrals, career counseling, job listings, and other employment-related services, the Centers stand ready to serve Marylanders with high-quality services and programs. Use our computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines to aid your job search.

The Professional Outplacement Assistance Center (POAC)

The Professional Outplacement Assistance Center (POAC) is a service offered by the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation's Division of Workforce Development. POAC provides assistance to individuals who are in

the professional, executive, technical, managerial, and/or scientific occupations. POAC operates from a facility that features:

a state-of-the-art computer lab with Internet access WIFI capabilities a variety of written publications and resource materials individualized career guidance an audio-visual library free faxing, copying, and telephone services in a modern office building. Locate a Career Counselor (By State) National Board of Certified Counselors ? Click on your state ? Indicate the area of practice, "Career Development" ? You can narrow down your search by indicating the city, state and or ZIP code. Note: Most of these career counselors are in private practice and require a fee.
