Assessment Day for Sudbrook Magnet Middle School is Saturday, January 23, 2016, with an inclement weather date of Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the same scheduled appointment time.

Inclement Weather Information: Baltimore County Public Schools determines school closings. All emergency closing and cancellation information will be posted on the BCPS automated information line, (410) 887-5555. Closings and cancellation announcements may also be made available through local media and social media (e.g. BCPS website, BCPS Now, etc.). In the event that school activities are cancelled Saturday due to inclement weather, magnet assessments will be postponed to the inclement weather date.

Please be on time. Verify your appointment time before Saturday. Failure to be on time or attend an assessment will result in disqualification. All parents/guardians must remain on-site during the assessment.

Please review the audition/assessment guidelines so your child comes prepared for his/her audition or assessment. Guidelines may be obtained at offices/omp/. Additionally, your child will be required to write an untimed essay (at Sudbrook) in response to a writing prompt.

If you should have any questions, please call 410-887-1254 or 6720. If you decide not to have your child assessed at Sudbrook, please call us as soon as possible.

Be sure to enter the correct door to register your student in a timely manner.

Environment and Earth Space Science (EESS) enter through the gymnasium doors right across from the tennis courts. Registration and waiting area are maintained in the gymnasium. As soon as you arrive, register your student which documents the arrival time. Listen for your assessment time to be called.

Performing Arts (PA) enter through the auditorium doors located off of Bedford Road. The auditorium outer doors have a banner across the top of the entrance. Enter the doors under the banner on the left. On the inside of the auditorium, be sure to register your student which documents the arrival time. This table will be on the left hand side close to the stage. Listen to the announcements for your magnet assessment time.

Visual Arts and World Languages (VA and WL) enter through the cafeteria doors located in the back of the building next to Alter Avenue (but do not park in the loop as it is a fire lane). On the inside of the cafeteria, be sure to register your student which documents the arrival time.

Directions to Sudbrook: From I-695, take exit 18, MD-26/Liberty Road. Go East on Liberty Road (MD-26E) towards Lochearn Turn Left onto Essex Road. At Stop sign, turn Left onto Campfield Road. Take the 3rd Right onto Bedford Road (yellow Sudbrook Arts Center sign on the corner). The school will be on your left. The address is 4300 Bedford Road.

Parking is available in the rear of the building or on designated streets. Do not park at Pahl's Crossing/Farm or SMMS Bus Loop. Please including parking the car in your arrival preparations.
