How many students can enroll/participate in the program?
Fifty- Seventy-five (50-75)
When does the program start?
The program should begin operation on April 1, 2009. Students currently in their senior year in high school are eligible.
A student drops out of school during his/her senior year. Is he/she considered a dropout?
Targeted youth currently enrolled in high school and drop out before the program starts (April 1, 2009) are considered in-school youth.
What are the key program components and required elements?

Do the Youth Common Measures and PY ’08 Standards remain the same and apply to the RFP, Youth Workforce Development Services: Try Out Employment/Internships?
2008 Standards remain the same and apply to the RFP; the measure looks at individuals. The Department of Labor’s three youth measures are listed below. The RFP focuses on Number 1 and Number 2.
1) Placement in Employment or Education
2) Attainment of a Degree or Certificate
3) Literacy and Numeracy Gains
When does follow-up begin and what is the duration?
Follow-up begins at registration. Follow-up is essential for the success of the youth throughout the program, providing a measurable service matrix, relative to performance measure accountability.
Can a young person who drops out of the program be replaced?
Because of dollars spent, a young person who drops out of the program may be replaced if funds are still available and based on individual circumstances.
