About MeAnika Biju, age 13, born in Plano, raised in Coppell. A millennium kid. As a child she was perhaps normal. As she grew, society got to her, and she became a freak like all of her friends. She is, I suppose, a fangirl. One of her obsessions is that of the brilliant band Imagine Dragons. She also listens to great bands like The Who, The Fray, Young the Giant, and The Killers. Sometimes she listens to heavy metal bands. Music is her life.Anika is also a minecraft lover. In her free time, this is one of the many activities she enjoys. She is a book lover too, but is often critical of popular books such as The Hunger Games, Divergent, and other such teen-crazing dystopian novels. Anika has one little brother, who is often a pain in the butt. But she likes him anyway. Sometimes.Anika also has a terrible memory. She happens to not remember anything that happened farther than a week back. Anika also (yeah, I know, I’m pretty boring) likes novels such as The Boy Who Couldn’t Die, Things Not Seen, and other more popular books like the Percy Jackson series and the Harry Potter series. The End.20 Facts About Ruben Mikaelyan1. Here, children ranging in ages put their minds to work to design parachutes and other devices to soften the blow of eggs being dropped from a 20 foot flight. While they were hard at work, I took the opportunity to explore and examine their original contraptions. Some decided to slow the falling process with balloons, while others opted to soften the blow with cotton. Many succeeded, but a few retreated back to the drawing board where they restarted with a plan B. To the right is a few images of their creations, both successful and failed.Image 2 (see left) shows a contraption designed to use its air pockets to keep the egg (located within the cup) in the air as long as possible. It is held together with the limited materials they could find: paper, tape, cups, rubber bands, and popsicle sticks. Image 3 (see right) shows a different model that has a base made of aluminum foil and popsicle sticks. Its sturdy base’s purpose is to absorb the impact of the egg slamming onto the ground below.
