Disability Mentoring Day 2012 Workshops: The Summer Series

Workshop I:

Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities in Partnership with Goodwill Industries presents

JOB READY? Find out what this really means

Human Resource Professionals reveal the facts about today’s job market

Guest panelists include: Bank of America, BLOOMBERG LP, The Port Authority of NY & NJ, The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park UPS.

When: Tuesday, July 31st

Time: 10 am to 12 noon

Where: Goodwill Industries Corporate Office

111 East 59th Street (between Lexington & Park Avenues)

Offices located at the Lighthouse International Building

Directions: 4, 5, or 6 lines to 59th Street and Lexington Avenue Station. N or R line to the Lexington Avenue & 59th Street Station. E to the Lexington Avenue & 53rd Street Station. M1, M2, M3 or M4 to the 59th Street stop.

Workshop II:

Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities in partnership with Hunter College of The City University of New York Presents

“Careers in Health and Wellness”

When: Tuesday, August 7th

Time: 3pm to 5pm

Where: Hunter College

695 Park Avenue at 68th Street and Lexington Avenue (Main Campus)

Directions: The 6 train stops directly under the College at the 68th Street station. F train to the East 63rd Street and Lexington Avenue stop. After exiting the station, walk north on Lexington Avenue to East 68th Street. The crosstown M66 bus goes east on 68th Street, and west on 67th Street. M98, M101, M102, and M103 go south on Lexington Avenue and north on 3rd Avenue. Hunter College is located at the intersection of East 68th Street and Lexington Avenue.

“Using SOCIAL MEDIA (Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter)

in your Job Search”

This 2-hour presentation includes:

• Learn about social media tools and how to best use them safely and securely in your job search

• Learn from Human Resource experts from our Corporate Partners

• Learn more about the Disability Mentoring Day program

When: Wednesday, August 22nd
