Chemistry Notebook Format

Purpose

Organization is one of the best keys to success. Your chemistry notebook will enable you to stay organized in chemistry. Throughout this course you will receive many handouts, homework assignments, tests, quizzes, ect… keeping them together will help you a great deal.

Organization of Notebook:

You will keep all of your class notes, homework assignments, and tests in a 3 ring binder. The binder will be broken into 2 sections. Below is how your notebook should be organized. Find the following papers and use dividers to setup your notebook.

Section 1: Class Notes/Handouts

1. Course Description, Syllabus, & Basic Policies (front side) and Chemistry Notebook Format (back side)

2. Equipment Description Sheet

Section 2: Graded Work (homework, quizzes, worksheets, projects, and tests)

1. Chemistry Daily Grade Reporting Sheet (Homework Credit Card)
