Topics range from Ohm Law to semiconductor circuits, series and parallel circuits, capacitors, inductors, and magnetic, with focus on analog and digital circuits. Background in basic algebra recommended for understanding electronics concepts.Learning Objectives: Student will learn to:Define and demonstrate the fundamentals of Ohms and Kirchoff’s LawDesign, build and test basic series and parallel circuits Define and apply the functions of capacitors, inductors and magneticsAnalyze components associated with AC and DC electronic circuits.Demonstrate proficiency in the use of electronic equipment and devices.Demonstrate the application of electronics devices and circuits using computer simulationsShare ideas effectively with peers in technical and non-technical environments Academic Integrity and Student Conduct:Students and employees at Oakton Community College are required to demonstrate academic integrity and follow Oakton’s Code of Academic Conduct.
