|Constitution |1 - Document that describes how U.S. government will be organized and the basic laws of the country. |

| |3 - Set of rules for living and behaving. |

| |4 – Name of the battle where George Washington defeated the British. |

|Country/society |1 - A place that is run as a democracy. |

| |3 – Places like California, Florida, etc. that are run by Governors. |

| |4 – Geographical area where the people have a single government. |

|Democracy |1 – Country where English is the main language. |

| |2 – Country where government is made up of regular citizens and elected by citizens. |

| |3 – A government run by Special Interest Groups. |

| |4 - A country with a government run by an individual or small group not elected by the citizens. |

|Diversity |1 – A type of military maneuver. |

| |2 – A group of individuals with different backgrounds. |

| |3 – Culture of the Mayan Indians |

| |4 - A group of individuals with similar backgrounds. |

|Freedom/Liberty |1 – Name initially given to the Statue of Liberty |

| |2 – French term meaning clear thinking |

| |3 – The ability to act, to speak, and to think without externally imposed restraints. |

| |4 – A strategy for living in the wilderness. |

|Government |1 – A method used by Native Americans for settling differences. |

| |2 - The group within the U.S. Congress responsible for making laws. |

| |3 – A body of people who incite rebellion against a country. |

| |4 - Part of society/country responsible for 1) creating and enforcing laws, providing services to its citizens, and 3) |

| |keeping the country safe. |

|Heritage |1 - The name of the organization responsible for documenting this country’s history. |

| |2 – The accomplishments, events, and traditions from past generations have resulted in the country as it is today. |

| |3 – A term used to characterize. |

| |4 – The monument located Washington, D.C. honoring a those who died during World War II in the Battle of Heritage. |

|Leader |1 - A type of cannon used in the Civil War. |

| |2 – Someone who influences a group to accomplish a goal. |

| |3 – Type of material used to make uniforms for our military. |

| |4 – A measure of weight. |

|Responsibility |1 - Someone who is immature. |

| |2 – Duty or obligation to do something. |

| |3 – The act of preparing for a ritual. |

| |4 – The ability to quickly respond. |

|Rights |1 - Name given to a political party that has conservation views. |

| |2 – Acts passed by Congress that require citizens to pay taxes. |

| |3 – Certain things that are allowed or owed or given to citizens by the Constitution and other laws. |

|SIGocracy |1 - A country where special interest groups, instead of the citizens, have the most influence on their government. |

| |2 – A political party sponsored by multiple special interest groups. |

|State |1 - An area with water on one side. |

| |2 – Place where there are National Parks. |

| |3 – One of the original 13 colonies. |
