Individuals in these roles analyse information and exercise judgement to complete a range of skilled activities and apply specialist technical skills and knowledge to solve routine and non-routine problems. They have accountability for the work of others and for meeting organisational key performance indicators.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.Entry RequirementsEntry into this qualification is open to individuals who:are currently working in a zoological facility (such as a zoo, wildlife sanctuary, aquarium, aviary or similar)ANDhold a Certificate III in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care (or previous qualifications in Certificate III in Captive Animals)ORhave at least 2 years relevant workplace experience working at Certificate III level or above in a zoological facility, and has demonstrated the ability to independently provide husbandry care for a variety of species.Packaging RulesTo achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:12 units of competency:4 core units plus8 elective units.Elective units must ensure the integrity of the qualification’s Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome. Any combination of electives that meets the packaging rules below can be selected for the award of the Certificate IV in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Management.
