WELCOME TO JOHN & MARY’S PLACE

Helpful Information For Our Visitors

Please find below a couple of points that will help you to enjoy our non-smoking home the most.

Page 1: GENERAL

• The key to the house is one key fits all: garage, back entrance and front entrance. Please turn the key to the left and then all the way to the right to open the door. If you leave the house for more than a few hours, we recommend locking both locks.

• We recommend not to feed the squirrels, as we nearly had them in the house a few times. You might hear them crawling up the outside walls but, no need for concern.

• Please collect the mail and put it in the den.

• We recommend to leave the inside entrance light on if you plan to return after dark. Also, the radio can be left on for noise distraction.

We do not assume that you would need it in the summer.

• Built-in alarm system is switched off during your visit for your better enjoyment.

Entrance

• The intercom system allows you to answer the front and back door from the kitchen and from the family room. Times have changed and we advise you not to open the door at night without checking. The intercom also connects the kitchen with the family room.

FIRST LEVEL UP

Guest Room

• We have left a gift basket on the dresser for all the little things you might need during your stay. Please help yourself.

• If you find the guest room a little noisy, there are some silicone earplugs in the basket.

Bathroom

• For your convenience, we recommend that you take showers downstairs, but upstairs bathroom also has a shower. If you use it daily, please clean it once a week, the rags are under the sink in kitchen.

• Hair dryer in left hand drawer.

• The medicine cabinet on left we have cleaned out for your use.

• Both bathrooms are equipped with security plugs to avoid electric shock. They are connected with the light switch and work in “on” position only.

• The water will feel a little soapy due to the water softener, it’s automatic and does not need any maintenance. All faucets, including washing machine, are hooked up to it.

• The humidifier, heat and air conditioner panel is between the guest room and the bathroom.

• Please leave left box (humidifier) as it is.

Heat and Air conditioner Panel

• Left cool/off/heat

• Right hand fan/on/auto

• Round panel Degrees Celsius selected

• Lower panel Degrees Celsius present temperature

We recommend that in summertime you leave the fan on, so that there is always some cool air running through the house. If you leave the panel on heat, it will give warm air. If you put it into cool, the air conditioning will kick in.

We would like to ask you to please keep all windows and doors closed while the air conditioning is running; otherwise the motor will burn out.

Master Bedroom

• The light switches beside the bed are touch sensitive only. They have no switches, but 3 light levels.

• One of the closets will be available for you, we hope it will offer ample of space.

• The telephone please leave hooked up, otherwise, messages would disappear and it would not take new messages.
