Butte Creek Country Club (BCCC) prides itself on being the only private equity golf club in California's North Valley. Established in 1962, BCCC has a rich history of excellent golf, casual and fine dining, and an exciting social club atmosphere that is welcoming to members of all ages. BCCC has been the home course for multiple championship events including US Open Qualifiers, AJGA tournaments, NCAA Division II Championships and many more outstanding tournaments. World-renowned course designer Bob Baldock shaped the golf course around two meandering creeks that flow through nine of the eighteen holes on a 7,000-yard, well-manicured golf course. Job Summary The GM reports to the Board of Directors of BCCC and has the overall authority to manage and exercise authority over the operations and resources of the Club in a manner consistent with the strategic goals as established by the Board of Directors. The GM directly supervises all department heads so as to align with the overall Club goals and strategy.

The GM's primary role is to ensure a premier golf and social member experience and embody our motto of "Where Membership becomes Family". Major responsibilities include providing leadership and oversight of all department heads, implementing and monitoring the budget, developing operating procedures and best practices, and securing and protecting the Club's facilities and equipment. The GM will also manage the relationships between the Club and its Board, members, guests, employees, community, government, and industry. Additionally, the GM will work with the Board to help define the long-term strategic plan for the Club's golf course, amenities and facilities and execute effectively against that plan.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional, experienced leader with the demonstrated ability to share their vision of the Club's future, instill their high values in all team members, and develop positive relationships with staff and members through good communication and respect. The candidate should have strong business acumen, financial and personnel management experience, and hospitality skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Manage the Club's Operations to maintain high levels of Member Value and Service ? Establish and manage to the Goals, Objectives and Strategies in conjunction with the Board to further the goal of being the Premier Private Golf and Social Club in California's North Valley. ? Responsible to motivate, encourage, and professionally develop the Club's management staff. ? Work closely with Club Committees (Greens, Golf, House, Membership and Finance) to achieve the overall club goals and strategy along with the current member preferences. ? Work closely with Course Superintendent on course maintenance, planning, improvement and play. ? Work closely with the Director of Golf on golf shop operations including golf play, tournaments, appropriate equipment and service to the members and guests. ? Works with the Food and Beverage Manager and Executive Chef to maintain a high level of quality and variety of dining options and social events, and exceptional service to members and guests. ? Work closely with Member Relations Manager to continually improve the Member experience and grow membership. ? Establish effective and meaningful relationships with all members of the Club to assure that their reasonable expectations as Club members are satisfied. Encourage and promote full engagement in Club activities, and otherwise foster an open, friendly and inclusive atmosphere at the Club. ? Provide Monthly updates on the performance of all aspects of the Club.

Manage the Club's Finances

? Oversee all financial aspects of the Club, including the preparation and implementation of the annual Operating Budget and Capital Expenditure Budget. Coordinate these efforts monthly with the Controller, Treasurer, Finance Committee and the Board of Directors while maintaining standards of operations at desirable levels.

? Work closely with the Controller, the Finance Committee and the Treasurer to ensure the operational effectiveness of the Club's internal accounting and financial reporting controls, as well as compliance with the Club's financial policies.

Long-Range Planning and Improvements

? Work collaboratively with the Board to develop a long-range strategic plan to meet the needs of current and future members.

? Develop and implement a 3-5 year capital improvement plan for the golf course in conjunction with the Course Superintendent and Greens committee to continually improve course conditions, aesthetics and playability.

? Research and develop a 3-10 year plan for Golf Club amenities and facilities. ? Establish a membership growth plan and fiscal plan to implement the above.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

? Base salary range for this position commensurate with qualifications and experience. ? Annual performance bonus, based on outcomes in relation to predetermined club-wide and

departmental measurable goals. ? Overall compensation range expected to be of $150,000-$175,000 with salary and bonus. ? Medical Health insurance premium paid for self (75%) and family (50%). Dental insurance available. ? Life Insurance up to $25,000 coverage. ? Offer of participation in the Club's matching 401(k) plan (matching up to 4% of salary) upon eligibility

after one year or 1000 hours of service. ? PGA membership or CMAA dues paid when in "good standing". ? Relocation Allowance ? Vacation, holidays, sick and other paid time off per Club policy.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

? Appreciation of golf, history and how to deliver an exceptional "experience" to members and guests. ? A minimum of 2-4 years of verifiable, progressive leadership and management experience in an

active, first-class golf and hospitality environment. ? Strong leadership and business skills with verifiable strengths in team development, financial

performance, diverse recreational amenity management (golf, family activities and others are especially desirable), quality food and beverage programming, exceptional member/guest service programming, strategic planning, and capital project management. ? Ability to consistently define and achieve goals and objectives. ? Possesses exceptional financial and budgeting acumen. Must have the ability to forecast future results and ensure the operation responds appropriately and proactively. ? Promotes and maintains a culture of warmth, congeniality and inclusivity for all members, guests and employees and embraces being the "face" of the club. ? Possesses the ability to work well with the Board and Committees providing leadership and guidance, along with well-reasoned recommendations. GM will participate in all committee meetings and will ensure board reports are prepared for optimum meeting preparedness. ? Outstanding communication, writing and speaking skills. Communication with members, guests and employees and personal visibility are highly important parts of the GM's responsibilities. ? Experience creating a positive work environment and boosting employee morale. ?
