[Pages:2]BCPS students can use DreamBox Learning Math this summer. The online math program adapts to each student providing a personalize instruction in a game based learning environment. Your child has access to the program through BCPS ONE.

Using DreamBox at Home

1. Set a session goal of at least 20 minutes. This should allow your child to complete at least two lessons.

2. Encourage your child to complete each lesson they begin. 3. Set a weekly goal of 60-90 minutes. 4. End each session by exiting the program or closing the browser. This allows DreamBox to

decide the next lesson for your child. 5. Remind your child, that Mistakes are OK. Incorrect answers actually help DreamBox find

the next best lesson for your child to help build their strengths. 6. Resist the urge to help your child with answers or the program will move them ahead

before they are truly ready.

Accessing DreamBox at Home

1. Have your child log into BCPS ONE at 1. Type in your username and password. 2. Click the DreamBox icon. 3. Start playing.

Parent Dashboard DreamBox allows each parent to access information about his student's account on the Parent Dashboard. It allows you to see progress, view reporting, and track how well your child is working in DreamBox. Directions for setting-up your Parent Dashboard are below.

Review your student's academic progress with a DreamBox Parent Account. Please follow these steps to create your free Parent Account:

1. Go to the BCPSONE. 2. Have your student login to his profile just as he would at school. 3. Click Setup Parent Access at the bottom of the page.

4. Follow instructions to create a new login and password. 5. Read Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. 6. Click "Submit".

Log into your home account after set up: 1. Go to . 2. Enter your email address and password. 3. To see student progress, click the "Parent Dashboard" button.
