STARS to our Staff, Parents and Students

Each week, individuals will be recognized for their contributions to the school. Staff members are encouraged to submit accolades that are worthy of the General's Star.

Our staff and students strive for excellence on a daily basis. The comments listed below represent some of the recognition for our staff and students.

STARS to Ms. Bridges, Mr. Briggs, Ms. Evanosky, and Ms. Lear for their time and efforts with the annual BCPS Job Fair.

STARS to Ms. Sengebusch for letting us use the equipment in the Home Ec room during the National Qualifier for the Speech and Debate team.

STARS to Mr. Palumbi for coming in to handle the awards ceremony for the National Qualifier for the Speech and Debate team.

STARS to Ms. Bridges for responding to our cries of locked-out distress during the National Qualifier for the Speech and Debate team.

STARS to Mr. Esbrandt for helping us during the day during the National Qualifier for the Speech and Debate team.

Student Before School Drop-Off and After School Pick-Up Procedures

Parents, when dropping off (before school) or picking up (after school) your students, please do not use the school parking lot. This creates problems with staff or visitors who are parked and need to get out. Students should always be dropped off or picked up on Cedar Avenue in front of the school.

Congratulations to Olivia Goodrich for meeting the requirements to become a Finalist for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Thirty-five teams from around the country came together to compete in some "handson" physics events. There were six (6) events, everything from trying to float the most nickels using a small amount of aluminum foil, to trying to quickly build the most efficient turbine. THS brought three (3) teams to the event and and scored in first, third, and fourth places.

Name: Madison Wichner College: Stevenson University Major: Nursing

What are you looking forward to the most about college?

I am beyond excited to start my college career at Stevenson University. I look forward to challenging myself and pushing my limits to do my very best. I'm also excited to meet new people and I hope to make new friends as well. My entire life I've been a helper, always ready to step in and provide whatever is necessary to make a person feel better. Stevenson is giving me this wonderful opportunity to do just that and I am beyond grateful and eager to begin!
