He was the owner and operator of Linden Trucking, Inc. He formerly drove trucks for Becker Transport and Studer Truck Lines. Don was born July 17, 1947, in Norton, Kansas, the oldest of six children born to Robert Martin and Mary “Mae” Margaret (Bruggeman) Linden. He was raised on a farm west of Lenora, Kansas. Don graduated from Lenora High School in 1965 and attended Colby Community College, Ft. Hays State University, and Wichita State University. Don was united in marriage to Kathy Wagner in 1983 in Lindsborg, KS. Two children were born to this union, Kelli and Kevin. They later divorced in 1986. Aside from being with his family, Don had many enjoyments in life. He enjoyed the game of pool and was an exceptional player, competing in many tournaments throughout the state. He also loved to golf, and his children have many special memories of playing the game with him. For several years, he participated in drag racing. (continued on back) Some of his other favorite pastimes were boating,waterskiing, and shooting sporting clays, trap, and skeet. Don loved animals of all sorts and had several wild animals as pets. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and National Sporting Clays Association.50260255784850052482751558290009525017018000 Survivors include: longtime companion of 25 years, Becky Urban of McPherson; children, Kelli Linden of Beloit, KS, Kevin Linden of Beloit, KS, and Amanda Linden of McPherson, KS; brother, Dennis Linden of McPherson, KS; sisters, Iolene Dinkel of Littleton, CO and Janeice Linden of Littleton, CO; sister-in-law, Roxie Linden of Wichita, KS; former wife, Kathy Linden of Beloit, KS; and two grandchildren, Rosalyn Linden and Mikynli Linden. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, James, brother, Jerry, infant granddaughter, Lilian Linden, and brother-in-law, Don Dinkel.
