BPSF Award Application Check List

Please review the following before submitting your application

● Have you omitted your name and your school’s name in the text of your application?

● Have you included your signature, your supervising teacher’s signature and your principal’s signature on page one of the application?

If you choose to submit your application electronically, you must scan the completed signature page and include it with your completed application or fax the signature page.

● Have you selected your requested materials from a current catalogue and have you given a complete description for each item requested?

● Is your project within budget range? (Not to exceed $1,200)

● Have you indicated your shirt size on page one of the application?

● Is your application legible?

NOTE:

The BPSF funds projects that encourage BISD staff and students to achieve academic excellence. The BPSF Awards Committee chooses winning applicants with consideration of the following:

● Will the project impact a large number of students, or will it impact a small, targeted group of students?

● Does the project correspond with local and state education objectives?

● Is the project creative and innovative?

● Are the objectives clearly stated?

● Are the materials appropriate for the classroom or learning environment?

● Is the project within the budget range? ($1,200)

● Are the materials requested normally funded by the district? (The BPSF does not fund projects for materials that are provided by the district)

● The BPSF does not fund field trips.

STUDENT Award Application

The Beaumont Public Schools Foundation, Inc. is a separate unit from the Beaumont Independent School District but cooperates with the District as both seek to enhance the academic opportunities for students. Its goal is to encourage students to achieve academic excellence through creative projects.

The BPSF wishes to be the sole funder of your project. However, each application submitted will be carefully reviewed and considered by the awards committee.

Please make note of the following:

1. Applications must be typed, written legibly, or reprocessed on your own computer following the

exact application format.

2. All information should be confined to this application with no additional materials attached. (4 pages only)

3. Please submit only one application per project.

4. Award recipients may apply only once in a school year.

5. Omit your name & your school's name in the text of the application.

6. Once submitted, applications become the property of the BPSF.

7. Applications may be submitted by district mail, fax (617-5196) or e-mail at bpsf93@

Applications submitted by e-mail must include the signature of the applicant, supervising teacher & principal. Signatures may be scanned & included with the application.
