How It All Began: Geometry History Project

Partner Name and Mathematician: Due

Centuries ago, a man named Euclid studied the world around him and came up with the concepts that you study- Geometry! Since then, many great artist, inventors, and scientists have also studied and used geometry. Through their knowledge and creativity, they have provided us with a beautiful view of the world in which we live.

You will pick a famous mathematician. You and your partner will write and illustrate a book about this person. Your target audience is your peers – an honors high school student. Your book should be designed and written for this audience. Your book should be typed and printed in book form. You will be graded on content, spelling, interest level, creativity and neatness. I am less concerned with the numbers of pages and more interested in you creating a story that is appropriate for your target audience and historically accurate.
